I think one big thing is to use multi extenders rather then the baseplates (the small black and red things) they may seem harder to use at first but they dont take long to get the hang of and at 2kg each that will shave at least 16kg off your last bot :-D

^^ SO TRUE... but they are 3kg and do save 1kg over baseplate anchors.

Also check the different components in "extenders", especially the number of attachment points, and especially their hitpoints/weight ratio.

Everyone should do that anyways.

Not to mention the huge amount of required chassis space you would save, which not only frees up extra kg, also reduces the size of your hitbox.

Sometimes I wonder if the blue control board is really worth using. If you can save 1 kg off of chassis size by using a mini, it should technically mean that a mini is more beneficial. Although I find myself using blue anyway because it is easier than trying to squeeze out that 1 kg off the chassis.

I usually squeeze my blue CB in between NPCFs anyway, not like you can put anything else there. XD

The blue CB IS better, because if you save 1kg off of chassis size for being able to put a mini on it, you lose a few chassis hitpoints.

However, by using a blue CB over a mini, you gain 1kg without losing anything...maybe you would need a larger chassis when you use really tiny ones, but then you will gain chassis health.

And that is one of the reasons i must update Gearhead.

Is that 1kg worth of chassis HP > 1kg worth of chassis size (hitbox)?

then we have to compare the tiny amount of HP gain over the tiny amount of average damage prevented due to increase chance of miss......

Or maybe I can just use a blue when it fits, and use a mini when I can't fit a blue. I wouldn't rebuild the whole bot in favor of one over the other.

As for baseplate vs milti extender, for me the bad thing about baseplate has always been their enormous size. The 1 kg gain for using a multi extender is just a bonus.

Richyguy I like the latest version of your rammer. Get rid of the rear weapons and change the wheels to more grippy ones, Also make it invertible to:-D.

@Rich: The previous one was better in battery and extender work (the drive is good on that one though)
