Unless you need a wheel to be a specific size or weight, the 3 wheels of choice are Vlad, Hypno, and Techno.

I usually use Techno on my HWs.

^^ True. Technos are useless in any other thing than heavies. Also, wide ant wheels are useful as well.

Vlads are superior if you have a lower chassis.

Also get something tougher than saws, like replica spinning weapon... weapons on a disc are nice, but the disc's weight is lost weapon weight.

But all replica discs have normals, so i don't know if it's better to have more weapon weight with normals or less without normals?

I use chewblades. More durable than saws, without normals.  And you can stack them to make drums.

You are right, Wide Ant are also useful for LW.

Whirl Wep Disk and Potter's Wheel doesn't have Normal, although they deal pathetic damage in field test and are generally not that good.

Chewblades have normals.

Quote
name = Canine VI ChewBlade
preview = chewblade_preview.bmp
dir = chewblade
model = chewblade1.gmf
type = weapons
base = Weapon
passthru = canine_collision
styles = Canine VI Chewblade, dslmower_blade1.txt, Mower blade
description = More than a sawblade, the Canine VI is machined nearly 5 cm thick. Always wear your safety glasses!  It has 5000 HP and 240 DP.
damagesounds = sounds\sawblade_hits_loop.wav
hitpoints = 5000
normal = true 1 0 0  0 1 0
decal = double_slash.tga 0 0 1 0.5 0.5 0
attachsound = sounds\cmp_sawblade.wav
frequency = 5
standard = 1
piercing = 1.09
concussion = .4
Sort = 11
mass = 20

But if you stack them and use them as a drum, the normal doesn't matter that much.

Chewblades do very low damage as well...

But you say Potters Wheel and WW Disc do not have normals? Technically it means that they'll do more damage... I'll try these with a strong enough motor.

I don't really understand how the damage calculation work sometimes, but WW disk, even without normals, are totally horrible.

Quote
name = Whirl Wep Disc
preview = whirlwhip_preview.bmp
dir = whirlwhip
model = whirldisc.gmf
type = weapons
base = Component
passthru = collision
piercing = .82
concussion = 1
frequency = 5
fracture = 40
hitpoints = 6000
description = Whirl Wep's grinding disc is very tough but not as damaging with 6000 HP and 250 DP.
damagesounds = sounds\snowplow_hit.wav
attachsound = sounds\cmp_generic.wav
standard = 1
mass = 25

Chew Blade does way more damage in field test for some odd reason.

Try 4 large beater bars on each disc.

Pretty good, could use a smaller chassis.

With those Ripping teeth it wasnt even realistic, as the teeth went trough the motors and you cant do that in real life.

Here's a simple suggestion:

Try rebuilding the chassis, but instead of making an upside down 'U', make it a 'T' instead, as the chassis weight is calculated using surface area, not volume. On the lower end of the 'T', place your Perms side to side, but rotate the axles outward so the weapons won't intersect (you might also need to increase its motor length to attain its desired reach). And just place your drive and batts at the rear. As for the wedges, you could use a single skirt and attach large angled sheets to it. :D

DSL bars have normals, so they're not good for spinners. Use hammers instead. Also it needs a wedge. A skirt hinge wedge or metal hinge wedge would do just fine. Also, don't waste weight on rear armor. All it needs is good turning. If those are normal NPCs, switch them to NPCFs. If they are NPCFs, just downgrade the wheels to Technos or even Vlads. Don't worry about invertibility if it can selfright. And you need to build to the weight limit, so you should probably add some motor protection.
