The undercutter is DSL-S I guess?
I like the idea of the wedge for that VS but it's overall not that good imo. I'm looking forward to future bots if you get back into building

HS needs some sort of chassis somewhere on the bot, but the other one's looking good.

witness 8 years of stock building struggling to translate to dsl 2.2 irl

Finally got the wheelguards properly emphasized, and ditched the whole exposed chassis thing because I'm too lazy to skin the internals in. Had to downgrade to Pl1 due to the large chassis though.

Completely reworked this thing with a Trov'd chassis, but I don't have enough time to figure out the right sequence and placement to get the sides point inwards instead of outwards. Also couldn't figure out the cleanest way to build a spade wedge, so I went with the other fork wedge Team Dark Forces used. Mag drive and Ti3 I think?

uhhhh just so i can say that i've tried my best for the botm before i got overwhelmed by item choices and design sacrifices in replicating cherno alpha

Currently at 1200 kg and I'm estimating my overall progress to be around 10% (planned on making the piston fists and other stuff move). End result should kinda resemble this:

Also I could've spent more of my free time on this but I never anticipated my SCv4 Acrid to have AGOD >12 rebuilds in a row ty havok :

I saw a video of an actual robot that looks like this doing self-righting tests, but I couldn't find it again when I tried to use it as a reference for a skin. Cloned it anyway :P

Servo and rear drive are embedded within the drum, but the stock HP DSL servo isn't strong enough to move the arm under the bot. No idea what AI components are slow and strong enough (and spins 360 degrees). The bot in the video doesn't have flamers, but I tacked them on anyway to reach the CW limit.

Basically, I built a bot because I couldn't find the actual robot it's based on. HELP

it was there for the latest season iirc but they werent ready in time and had to forfeit their place

the clone looks pretty good. needs a good skin to push it over the top

alright this is harder than i expected

I just realized that an undercutting bar spinner is unfeasible in heavier weight classes IRL unless it gets accepted just so the audience can see it pull an Apex. And it's also ridiculously hard to build one up to the weight limit unless you pad the bot with tons of flair. Same chassis as the MW, double Moros blades, steel 3 and regular NPC drive.

If I ever touch DSL again, the next bot will hopefully be an extenderbot.

looks nice. shoulder pads esp. would look better with skinned bear claws imo and a more consistent color scheme in general

yeah, if you got some blue bear claws on there, like sage's ironbot bot had, that'd be pretty sick
