I've been playing about a bit with heavy armour bots...

What i tried doing is minimize chassis size while trying to cram as much stuff on as possible.

Its powered bt 4 Geared E-Teks, with a few battlepacks inside. 1mm or 3mm Titanium armour for chassis defense and weight saving. Then the outside is armoured with several shel parts and a DSL Bar.

It managed to stand up to a good beating in a battle with Grog the Vengeful.

That looks so cool. How much damage does it do?

That's because the iron spikes keep the sledgehammers from hitting anything. I bet if it was modified it'd be real damaging.

Gigawatt DSL2 2b clone...

Use more iron spikes rather than these sledgehammers and grippier wheels - like Vladiator's. If they're too small, then use Tornado's.

Can you post the weight?
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

He actually has a point, S32. He won't know the advanced stuff, but basic things like lack of weapons are in anyone's early grasp.

Gigawatt DSL2 was my inspiration.

Maybe i'll edit the bot in the future with more spikes and so on.

New bot time!

For some reason, i named this bot "Oswald".

Armor is 1mm Titanium (i think) to keep it a Middlewieght.
Hinged wedge to ease bots onto the disc. A piston to help with self-righting (it doesn't work as planned).

I know there is alot of wasted space, but this was one of the first bots i made when returning to RA2.

I might not be that much of a DSL builder, but I guess I can give you tips! Eliminate empty space, shrink the chassis. What's the air tank used for?

The Airtank is for the piston, which is mentioned in the post.
