Back to the realms of DSL, and after a few tried and failed ideas, I came up with this.

Tite 5, 4 ants, mini CB, 798.4 IIRC. Basically trying to keep extender work to an absolute minimum on an SnS. Tried the setup first with flail razors, and that was a complete failure, but hammers are MUCH better. Goes ME -> E-Tek LX -> 360 Axle Mount -> Steel Extender -> 60kg hammer. Spins obscenely fast.

'Tis realistic. Could be made fairly easily.

What's it a klone of?

I'm not sure on LW. Could be done but wouldn't work too well.

Probably work well with TWM3R LX's. I'll give that a shot at some point.

In the meantime, here's one half of a UHW Multibot that started out as something slightly different. Started out as trying to make a bot similar to Gigawhirl, but with a barrel spinner on top as well. Here's what I have so far

Hiding under the shell is 10 NPC Fasts with Hypnos, a Dual Perm, 12 ants, a mini CB (lol) and Steel 10 Armour. For some reason I can't put Halfsheets on the bottom.

I'm definitely going to call its partner Search, and it's probably going to be a hammer rammer/wammer of some sort. Probably with a wedge as well, maybe it'd push opponents into Destroy.

Damn it, you beat me to it :P

Anyways, i don't think a barrel spinner would be the most effective with that design. Your spinner is probably going to push the other bot to the side, so it might be more worth it to have wedges everywhere so not to get flanked and rather than a barrel spinner on top, a simple top spinner.

I think you're all missing the fact that that bot looks AWESOME!!
Anyway, yeah Nar's advice is probably the easiest way to make the barrel part effective.

And you should call the other part seek (d'ya c wut I did thr).
Hey, you could make it a flipper and super AI it to flip bot s into the barrel  :laughing

I was thinking about that. I might make a SHW horizontal barrel spinner/flipper hybrid.

It'd need to be a big disk for the barrel.
What I imagined for that kinda design in one would be an angled face style design, and not too powerfull a flipper, maybe even a true popup design would do for that...

^This^

In the UHW class, you have no excuse for not putting wedges on all sides... I would do it on Gigawhirl if I had weight.  Remember that the two halves don't have to each be 2500 kgs; you could have 2000 and 3000 for example.

Also, putting a static ramp outside the shell, like on Gigawhirl, could help get bots into the barrel on top.

Got slightly bored, decided to see whether this would work.

Antweight Sheck Spinner, Plastic 1 armour. It works, so long as it doesn't move. Otherwise it havoks. =P

How much weight used just on the shell? You don't really have that weight to use on an AW...
