It's quite cool.

I have a stock FBH named Downfall though.  It was an earlier BOTM entry.

The wedges might be bad due in part to the angled-up chassis.

Back to DSL for a bit. Totally not jumping on the 6WD Popup bandwagon.

Ah.

Here is my entry to the group, 799.2, Tite 5 IIRC, 16 ants and 12 razors. 6-Wheel NPC Fast and Hypno Drive. Named Orange, Blue, Orange, Yellow. Yay obscure videogame references. =D

Self-righting's fairly good, tips over onto the front thanks to the JX's boxy collision mesh most of the time. Wedges are uncharacteristically good for my bots, they get under everything I've tested it against. Normally scores hits of between 2000 and 3000 points, and tosses opponents up into the air a bit too.

The name reminds me playing Guitar Hero for the first time.

"Blue, Orange... Blue, Orange... Yellow... Red... Green green... Yellow..."

Anyways, since you have JX'S, you might as well use them. drop the chassis armour and extender weight, and add 4 more razors.

Bots like that are unrealistic by DSL standards IMO. Spikes that go through a titanium sheet? Nono.

But just because everyone does doesn't mean everyone should. Which is why I made a more realistic version of Monochrome (which is still somewhat unrealistic) but I'm too lazy to send it to Nary. XD

It looks cool, love the way the wheels are on there.
I'd put the half sheet on a bit more of a slant and move it a bit closer to the chasis if possible.

Bah... 4WD NPCF w/Hypnos is enough to get under flail SnS/flail shell spinners, so for me it's still overkill

You could adapt the idea to incorporate a snowplow, or even better, a weapon rack on the back.
Stops opponent bots flying over you, deals damage to then, and keeps them right where you want them.
There you go, a good reason for super fast popup

Try to fit a rear weapon rack, a good popup rack, enough armor, a good wedge, enough batteries AND 6WD on a HW and tell me how well you do.

Not too badly, actually. =P

More or less the same innards as last time, but now 14 ants, one Large JX Burst motor with 9 razors, 8 razors for a wamming rack, and it's fully "realistic", in the accepted sense of the word. Works excellently as a wammer now, sacrificed a little bit of the popup-ness for it, but it still scored close to 2000 points per hit. Only drawback seems to be self righting's a little bit hit-and-miss. And it tends to take off wedges and skirts before it gets to the chassis, which can be considered a good thing.

I'm happy for starting this bandwagon. :D

@Nary: You didn't say it had to be NPC Fasts for the 6wd ;)
I built that big robot on that TV show that time
