Changed the design - and it's a decent fighter now

Doom Cycle - 3mm plastic, 3 ants (it works ok with 3 but i would gladly have added another ant batt)

And yes it is much better now.

Eclipse 2 - 5mm Ti, 4 NPCFs, 14 ant batts (probably too much), 4 small partly stacked wedges on 2 metal hinges (ok...totally did ripped that off Shadow Tyrant :P) and yes these are reskinned BSGs - which are awesome after a few extensive burst motor testing.

It needs to be updated because notably, the weapons doesn't have enough reach.

reskinned BSG's ? another Nar AI feature perhaps ? lol

looks good, I have noticed your bots are getting longer and skinner though (from drive the wedge)

this bot shouldn't have much trouble but be weary because your increasing your turning circle radius, just a little something I noticed with Bladewave in CC2

Having a higher turnspeed would partially solve that issue, but fast bots can still flank when they clash. Anyway, what are the 4 razors underneath the tite sheet for?

They fire upwards. with the 2 center BSGs.

it was just something I thought off since that is kinda Naryars building style, just something to watch because Grindhouse, having a smaller turning radius was able to get around Bladewaves wedges

not a point of criticism just giving you a tip ;-)

You mean that i should make the drive and wedges wider, if not the whole bot?

The weapon system's already wide enough :P

not necessarily im only taliking about distance between the front of the bot (wedges) to the rear (hypno wheels) distance may be too large

this bot should have to mach of a problem because of the 4 wheel drive but others like Bladewave are trying to move the front around rather then simply spin

just wait I will make up some images to explain :-D

Edit:

notice the turning circle of robots with drive to the rear ? its a theory I worked on when making flail hammers with rear drive

Interesting point you brought up there.

But leverage physics tell me to put the drive at the rear end of the robot because in real life it would make up for a better wedge.

These days i am focused on rebuilding NAR AI v1 popups...

Shockwave 2. 3mm Ti, 5 ants. Much better than the first.

I am fully aware it radiates creativity from every kg, but at least i made something slightly original with the additional armor :P

(That consists of 2 40cm Alu skirts and 2 40cm Ti skirts. Guess how it's done)

It is not perfectly symmetrical :(.

Oh. I could rebuild it using BFE to make it near-perfectly symmetrical... if i feel like rebuiding it again.

I keep running into the same problem with my team(s) that I'd like to submit for the NAR AI v2. I had a sweet MW popup, but then Ounce and Reier and Pwn all built stuff similar, and I have no doubt that you're doing the same. I got a few SnS's that I'm working on (the HW can take out Blade Wave), and some other assorted things, but nothing that I'm ready to submit to you yet.

If it's good enough i will accept generic-ness. Just try to make it not too generic :P

I could extend the deadline to, say 10th December though.

(and no, that is not Crosswind 3)

Here is a clue: NAR AI. Not POPUP AI.
