They're to provide the illusion of a longer axle, I think.

Bingo. It's the ra2 equivalent of having a shaft supported on both sides. (much less prone to breaking)

Nice to see the motor inside the drum is catching on. I like what you did with it.

Does look very nice. Like a mini Redrum of some description. How well does it do when it's inverted?

Meant to simulate the weapon systems on Greenwave and Icewave

Used BFE for the chassis height and a baseplate extender to mount the motor. Extra Ti extenders are to simulate the way it would actually be mounted.

Reminds me also of Amp and Jolt from ARC. The design is sweet in my opinion. You gonna build anything for Nar AI 2.7?

Does look very nice. I should try something like that. I'm not a fan of the hammers, personally, but it looks quite nice apart from that.

Finally, someone does a realistic version of this idea. Sweet.

:realmad(  I literally JUST made a bot with that exact same weapon concept!

...Oh well.  Mine is still somewhat different.  Enough to still be original.

Nice bot, though I agree the placement of the hammers is a little awkward for IRL.

It would be a hollow axle that allows the wiring to pass through for the motor, and the blade goes around that. Similar to how Ziggo's flag worked, but slightly different. This is a decent image to show what I'm on about, spoiler'd for page length.

Attempt at an IRL chassis in drum style bot. The system I think fits well enough, but I think the style itself may push IRL a bit too far.

Yeah that's pushing IRL, but it's awesome. Love the use of the gothic hammers.

LW version of the hollow shaft, weapon motor above weapon setup. Chassis height is obviously bfe'd.

Had an amusing idea for a trapper-ish bot:

It'll likely get trashed against any decent spinner, but it's fun and if it gets a bot in the saw trap, they don't come out.

Holy crap! It's like a DSL version of Agrippa from Battlebots. That's sweet.

Looks dope, got any better views of this saw trap system?
