Here, I have the prototype for my BB2 entry-

I haven't painted it yet, but it's a combined lifter/crusher robot, that can either use its front claws and wedges to push and flick opponents around, or chomp down on them. Comments?

Plastic 3, sadly. Had to compromise to get everything I needed in.

Doesn't look too bad, I reckon. Nice work. What sort of drive motors are you using?

Four of those black and silver ones which look a bit like RADs.

TWMR3's? That's what Freezerburn used, so it should be reasonably nippy. Not bad. Is it invertible in any way, though?

Yes- it can run upside-down quite well.

Does it have a tendency to sit on its side when flipped though?

Haven't seen it happen myself, but it might be a concern. I've tested it against both lifters and flippers though, so it's mostly just been either upside-down or downside-up most of the time.

Yes, but have you been up against an underpowered Beta flipper?

Watch it, mate  XD

Anyway, not yet, though. They mostly tend to get their flippers stuck up, though.

My first prototype entry for Blades of Fury-

Hopefully I won't get banned for the name.
Anyway, it's got 3mm Steel Armour and 30kg rotary hammers, powered by a Perm 80- great for bringing the hurt unto IRL MWs. My main concern is that it could be faster, with only rubbers driven by slimbodies pushing all that weight around. Any suggestions on how?

Well, it is a prototype. What are your recommendations?

Get a longer Perm and it will look cooler. Use the weight anyway you can.

IIRC Slimbodies are 25, and TWM3R Drive Motors are 30, so you could use the weight that way and get some pretty good drive.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

Make it have a disk instead of a bar if you really have to.

Looks rather cool though, perhaps lower the armour a bit and get vlad wheels on?

I would just use two DSL bars on multi's rather than that heavy extender work you have here to supposely hold the motor's axle.

cool.

Unrealistic however, get a longer Perm.

Give it Vlads and TWM3R drive, then replace the 3MM steel with either Plastic 5 or Tite 3 and then send it to me :P
