Well from testing, it appears to be quite effective, particularly in taking off wheels on the side of or under the chassis.

DP:

Just to bring this back, I'll introduce you to Morbid Angel's new paintjob-

Just a pity that I can't get the words to look a bit crisper, otherwise it'd look perfect. Still, it's pretty much the livery it's going to wear for Robotic Internation Wars- the second tourney it'll appear in. Comments?

Until now, I hadn't heard of them, actually- I thought it sounded like a cool and quite suitable name for a robot that's part of a horror-themed DSL team.

It is. Music is decent though better than all those boring generic metalcore bands that keep popping up.
Other than the new album, which really sucks save for 4 tracks.

Bot is cool but 'tis a KLONE.

Is that Astro + Hypno? I think that could be potentially havokous. I'd consider Mini Wheels and a more powerful motor, personally. If you're using metal hinges for the bottom wedge, I think you only need one.

Might be, but it's quite a solid and reliable design- took second place in Tag Team Tussle not too long ago.

No, those are the grey RAD-like drives with Hypno Wheels. It gives it pretty good speed and nice manouverability across the arena.

Oh, you mean TWM's.

Actually, come to think of it, it looks a lot like Death Of Angels 2.

You didn't notice that INSTANTLY?
Still a good design though.

No, I was too busy looking at the bot lab. =P
But it must be a good design, it won BBEANS 6.

And came second in TTT  <3

I'm also going to enter it, under this livery, into the Robotic International Wars once it's approved- I'm hoping to scoop one of the top four places whilst it's there.

And Somebody? Better than not building at all.

And Somebody? Better than not building at all.

First step of building is learning how, which kloning helps with. It isn't very appreciated to hijack designs for tournament entry though. My popup was semi hijacked. It has a lot of the design of Death of Angels 2 but it has the skirts of Infection 4 along with some other little things to make it better against SS. And it worked pretty well. You at least should adapt the design a bit, instead of just a straight klone.

You're right, maybe I should look into tweaking things in future. Maybe I'll try it with the next DSL thing I build...
