What about beater bars instead of sledgehammers?

OK guys- I'll take those comments into consideration. Now that I know what to do, I'm going to strip the basterd down and make it better than before   =P

I'd try to swap the tite extenders/flipper segments for aluminium extenders on ME's, that should help in keeping the weight down. Definitely get TWM3R's on there instead of Slimbodies, you have the weight for that already. And swap the hammers for something narrower, and extend the Perm motor to keep it realistic.

Slight problem-

Even though it appears to not to intersect the motor, I can't seem to get the bar on, even though I've tried rotating it and removing the bar weapon to fit.

Try Snapper or Axle Loading the bar away first. It's probably intersecting the sprocket on the end of the perm.

Yes...how do I do that? I've attempted it before, but I've never successfully done it.

1/ get rid of the bar
2/ spin the perm until it reaches max speed
3/ quickly go to another tab
4/ quickly press the spin button and go to another tab
5/ repeat step 4 until the axle has flown away

Sage has a handy video showing how it's done. =D What I do is attach a 20cm Steel Extender perpendicular to the axle, then spin it up and switch tabs while it's spinning. Add an axle mount, then QUICKLY press the Pause/Break button on your keyboard. Switch tabs, unpause, then go back to Components. Repeat the Add/Pause trick until the axle disappears, then you can add the extender where the axle would normally be.

EDIT: Ninja'd by Badnik, although I should point out that his method never works for me in DSL.

Should I use a button command to spin the perm, or spam a load of things inside it to make it spin automatically?

Use button command. It's easier.

Right, I'll give that a try.

NFX the reason why you're probably having that problem is because only some motors work with that method in DSL.
I think the perm's work ok with that method though NFX, but i'm not 100%sure.

@GF93: Because 3,000 of your posts were deleted in The Great Censorship. :gawe:

Hopefully you can get Axle Loading to work, it's a big help in some designs.

@Scorps: Yeah, NPC's don't work when you try that, but there's a bunch of methods you can do. For some reason I use the motor chaining method in Stock and Axle Mount Spam method in DSL.

Watch it  :P

For the time being however, I might also work on another entry. Anyone know any good DSL burst motors that work well for middleweight bots?

Strange?
I manage to axle load NPC's just fine with that method, I think it's really only motors heavier than Perm 130s that I can't.
Maybe you just give up too easily ;P

Good MW burst motor?
Spam BSG's, IMO the JX bursts aren't worth it, especially the small one.

Thought so- with all the long and complicated names, they can be complicated to all remember when they're memorised in code rather than names, like stock components.

best way to snapper load in dsl is to use copals in place of a rad
