FOTEPX's DSL Showcase
« on: February 20, 2010, 01:35:51 PM »
Kaiza

Name: Kaiza
Armour: 3MM Aluminium
Weapon: Two spike strips and Custom Blade

Kaiza 2

Name: Kaiza 2
Armour: Titanium 3mm (Yay, big improvement)
Weapons: Two Razor Tips and Custom Blade
Improvements: Tougher Wheels, Better Decals, Better Armour, Slightly Lighter

Kaiza 3?

Well, i'm not sure sbout it. I've replaced the blade, and I wanna know if you guys think that this is a good idea. Rgiht now, Kiaza 3 has same stats as Kaiza 2, but with less battery and a more destructive spinner.

Don't worry about Stag. This thread can be renamed.

My opinion on Kaiza 2 is... it's alright.
General stuff... 1 ant per motor (unless there's bursts)
Aluminium is terrible so Titanium is a defo improvement.
Use a DSL disc instead of those anglers on the motor - much more HP.
Lastly, Multi-Extenders (red and black) do the same stuff as base anchors, but weigh 2 kg less.

Don't listen to Stagfish, FOTEPX. He's a noob and generally gives bad advice so watch out.

Anyway, Kaiza shows some potential dude.
However:
1) those razor tips aren't gonna do much.
2) Angle extenders are a horrible waste of weight. If I were you, I'd use a small DSL Disk and put some more spikes on it.
3) It would be really nice to have that invertible. Rebuild the chassis, it's a bit large.
4) 3 ant batteries for this > 1 battlepack.

Don't think I'm whacking you here, I'm trying to help you.
I made a BW FS a while back, you can look at it to get some ideas if you want.

Kaiza 3 is being made as we speak!

I suggest you read this

Would be much better if it was invertible as well.

Pointy tips have normals, meaning the weapon only does damage on the tip. use Razor tips or small DS teeth

'Tis better. But you do need 3 ants, and pointy tips are far from being the top choice on spinners because they only do damage with the tip.

Looking nice! :D
Shinies aren't the best wheels in DSL but given the weight allowance, I think they're a good choice.
To make any more observations, I'd need to see the insides, sorry :P
