I have experimented with vertical flails before, and though I belive horizontal ones seem to be all around better, vertical flails tend to destroy wedged bots easier.

thats the current design I have been playing with, Gyratory Reborn was able to pick up some wedges with its flails mounted vertical

A Batch file?

Anyway, If you mount the flails diagonally, could you take advantage of both?

Not really...

think of the diagonal flails dropped right down ?

if something went underneath them they would act like static weapons pointing down...

understand ?

which only leaves them to preform horizontal duty, and something again, there is less "give" in them from horizontal reducing effectiveness there

:-D

its really a case of either way, horozonal if low to the ground and vertical if raised up (like Gyratory Reborn)

Looks kinda like some kind of air vehicle. Horizontal gut ripper?

yeah I agree with that.. then again it is a hinge wedge.. but that set up may lead to robots being caught between the half sheets and wedge thus not feeding them to the weapon.

A view from the rear would help us suggest improvements for your bot more.

Anyway, from what I can see here, replace the 2 half-sheets with a single tite sheet (more HPs for the same weight).

You probably put the weapon up there for easier self-righting, but wedginess still trumps self-righting capability (although having both is definitely a plus).

Use a DSL bar instead of these extenders... they do damage, after all.

I'll enter CC3 and try to come up with a really good design, but if some faggot builds a crawler and enters it, i'll ask Joe to REMOVE my bot from the tournament, and ask every serious builder to do so.

Probably aiming for an anti-SnSnSnSnS design. But remember, that design sucks against gut-rippers with that width. Though I'm not encouraging you to enter CC3 with a crawler, add an extender coming off of each disk to prevent immobilization and put the perms closer together. But basing on the arena JB's planning to use, you'd surely be better off with a gut-ripper.
