The old Aardvark looks like Blue Moon.  The new one looks a lot cooler.

I like the design of the #4 MW.  Reminds me of a real bot I saw called Collision.  I think I tried doing a design like that once, but it had trouble with constantly doing somersaults.  That kind of bot needs some front and rear supports to keep it from somersaulting.

To lack feeling is to be dead, but to act on every feeling is to be a child.

I've always wanted to make a robot similar to Whirlygig, I've failed several times in both stock and DSL to make something similar to it. That was on of my failures.

Anyone remember Bonecracker? My second "serious" DSL bot (Cannibal was just a fluke). Bonecracker has been re-built, now sporting: A simpler/better defense system, smaller chassis, and my signature wheel guard setup. I present.

Not bad, though I am unsure about the use of that flail in the back.....
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

TriTon, Urjak is just being unsure about the actual efficiency of the flail thwacker - and so do I.

____________

That disc is way too high - that's not going to defend you against a wedge.

Also I bet that your bot must run quite low on energy after 2 minutes...

To be honest, the flail does more damage than the blade. The bot itself it designed to do a "Sabertooth" tactic (notice the wide wheel base and beater bars). No, power isn't an issue.

Edit: you can consider it a HS/thwacker hybrid

You need more powerful motors or grippier wheel if it is going to be a HS/thwacker.

I'm slowly starting to get back into the swing of building again.

The sit and spinner is named Brutus; its the best I've made so far ever since I got Ra2 operational again. The shell spinner [Yare] is nothing special: it gets its ass kicked in battle, does practically no damage, but the typhoon flag tells me which way its pointing [which is pretty damn neat i think] which is the only reason I decided to keep it. Don't expect me to start building and showcasing robots regularly again, but more of a once in a while thing. :]

Brutus is a middleweight at 395.2, while Yare is a heavyweight that weighs in at 735.2.

I'm so pedantic as to get irritated by the mis-aligned wheels on Brutus. :P
But both look nice (needs skins)
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

Brutus does look very nice. It might look even better with a decent skin. Sheck Spinner's not too bad, but it could probably do with being not as tall. You could probably get some Light DS Teeth on it instead if you managed to make it shorter. =)

I gotta say, I'm really liking Brutus. You should make a skin for that and enter it into BB5.

That SnS has such an unnecessarily large chassis and wheels...

also too much battery amps.

They both look cool. I'm not sure if you're aware though, but recent discoveries mean you only need 1 ant battery per spin motor (more for different bursts but yeah). Brutus is pretty big but I love the style of it.

Well I SUPPOSE I could make the chassis smaller, make the whole   thing run off of  six AA batteries, and in general make it look like   the most unappealing and grotesque looking thing conceived.

However, that would make it more IRL than straight DSL. In fact, the robot would be a decent entry into Battlebots, provided there are places left on the sign-ups.
