As I said, this is a start, so i figured i would try with a HS, Ill take all criticism good naturedly, i would just like to get better.

Well, I've heard piglets are terrible for drive, but I could be wrong. I don't know if that weapon motor can spin that weight at an effective speed either. Let's see what the gurus say, because I think it actually looks pretty decent.
You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

Thanks, yah after some browsing, I noticed many saying the same thing about the piglets, I may have to switch those up. The weapons on the end of the tri-bar are 30kg, It is not the most effective speed, but fairly useful at removing assorted vertical weapons and spikes so i can get at the weaker armour underneath, It is hard to immobilize in the combat arena, and has beaten a random assortment of lightweight bots whether through destructions, points or immobilizations. Thanks!

Switch to astroflight, and you will notice an increase in drive speed.

Drive motor has high torque and low max speed, weapon motor has low torque and high max speed.  As such it makes them task specific.  You can usually tell which is for weapon/drive in it's description.  But if you cannot I have also made a list of them here.

Not bad! Not bad at all! Like 123 said, you could use astros with ant wheels and try to use the blue control board to free as much weight as possible to upgrade the armor. I haven't built a tribar HS in DSL before, but I think a TWM3R motor would be better for that. :D

Looks very good for a first showcased bot. But im concerned about the tribar passing trough the wheels, so does it? You should try avoid that.

Near-clone of one of R0B0SH4RK's lightweights, but i suppose you didn't made it on purpose.

Yes, switch to astroflights and Hypno wheels, change your battery placement to get an AX2550 on this and well you'll have 3 more kg to play with.

Much better than the standard's beginner bot

So, following all your tips, This is the version 2, Im happy to say it handles much better thanks to the tail, weapon spins faster, and it is quicker on astroflights, thank you for all your tips.

I kinda don't consider pole spikes too effective cause I think they do damage on the tip.

Also,same question as G.K.

I guess the pole can be replaced by an iron spike.

Well, to answer your question that robot was 248.4 kg, but with some careful fitting of the chassis, I redesigned it, named it Stingray (for obvious reasons i like to think)

This robot is 248.9 kg (A fairly good use of weight i think so) (titanium 1mm)

Another version before this had 3 meat tenderizers (25kg ea) a large tribar (30 kg?) and a 30 to 20 , 20*40 , iron spike tail, its total weight was around 246, would the larger tribar and bigger tail be a good trade for less effective weight use? Or should I stay with this set up?

Thanks for your tips, they are all very helpful.

Also a question, whenever I go to lower the chassis, it seems like it stops unnaturally high, I have tried moving the slider all the way up, and clicking as low as I can on the height bar, that is how I got the current height, I cant help but think it could be lower, any way to make it so or am i pushing the boundaries of minimum height?

Well, you can get a lower chassis height by editing the .bot file, but I think you would get the lowest height if you couldn't attach an NPC Right/Left. :D

Alrighty thanks a bunch, any tips on the current bot? Ive noticed with some frustration that my tribar is getting knocked off way to often, is it considered "unethical" to put a shield of some sort over it, seeing as any shield would intersect with the spinner, and as ive come to understand bots should be as realistic as possible, so a shield over the joint for the spinner would probably be frowned upon right?

If you could attach that shield in such a way that it can be attached to the tribar in real life, it should be fine. :D

The "extra chassis height" seems to allow all component can be attached.  The lowest click-able chassis height, or 0.338182, prevents a few components to be attachable.  As for lowering it through hacking the save file, the lower it is, the less components you can attach.  Though in most tournaments any form of game file hacking would be banned.

As far as armoring your tribar, tribar has the worst HP ratio in the game.  Rather than armoring it, An alternative would be one dsldisk or 2 dsl bar forming a cross, though both of them would have 4 connection points.

Pretty sure the worst HP/kg ratio (i call that toughness) are the Ronin flags... they have 5 HP  XD

And yes, use something else than a tribar.

ATM Im now running a dsl bar, with two 45kg hammers on the end, they dont come off near as easy, as a tribar, and i can use 1mm steel, with a weight of 248.6 kg
