6 ants (heck even 4 or 5) are enough on this.

It slightly remembers me of HnM v1 with the teeth on the back... but they're pretty much useless for now.

the idea is a front AND back drum bot that while invertable still hits the heck out of whatever poor bots on top. the panels were just there to see how it drove. and it dose that great. NO gyro but to get it any further along is going to a few days. as i said im not sure how to make it a viable tourny entry

This bot reminds me of my prototype treadmill robot, except that yourse has further spaced apart perms. I would've made it with a wedge at both sides, and perms in the middle, so the robots drive up onto the drum and get absoltely totalled, but then it would nearly be a carbon fiber copy of my bot.

this is Efficiency Cubed. the last of my drums for awhile as im now working on tourny bots and such. its a IRL bot that still wins 95% when AIed against the Nar AI extra teams. not by KOs but points. the rear plate that the DSL bar is on is do to the fact i cant put it on the extender where i want it.

I would disagree: They protect the motors and deal damage in addition to the drums.

I see your point. Listen to Ounce not me.
How much damage do they deal sticking out to the side like that? Also, would there be a lighter alternative?

Tornado Spikes weigh too much for their size IMO.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

:O  I have tried many, many times to make a design like this effective, and it always fails.  In theory it should be good--able to gut-rip bots and also hit wedges that get underneath it--but in practice you can't get enough weapon weight plus top and bottom armor (necessary for popup defense).  Maybe if you made it a SHW it could be good.

ya i got to the same point. i might make a SHW but i GOTTA get good at making other types of bots. drums are great but to many people LOVE there weakness (VS) to put to many in to tourneys.

Drums can beat VS if they are fast enough.  VS's tend not to do well against fast bots that can tip them over.
