Where is your other showcase ? I can't find it.

I didn't deleted it, right ? I would never delete such a cool showcase.

Welcome back to the craziest forum you'll ever be a apart of.

I kind of felt you wouldn't leave permanently, though

Greetings, I have stumbled across how to make a stable, functioning walker (I half stole an idea from Domanating). At this stage it is fairly crude and very very slow but I now know how to make a walker that works. I will try to put it into a meaningful robot (one that can fight or is at least mobile/self righting) which I will work on over the weekend. I am however 99.9% certain genuine two legged walkers are impossible in RA2 but new hope for walkers in general! This may seem like a pointless post but I don't want to show anything until I succeed or fail, and I had to say something as this is good news :D. Either way I will show the ideas sometime in the next few days.

Good luck, m8. Building walkers is extremely frustrating. But once you make one work, the feeling is awesome

I have started to teach myself website design, I'm therefore going to have my own RA website (inspired by Beetlebros). http://classicusdesign.tk/

I will be fiddling with it over the next few weeks and adding some interesting stuff. Think of it as my OCD/nerd/geek sink hole.

One small step...

I present a functioning walker - can move verrrrrry slooooowly in a straightish line, cannot turn yet. As you can see from the two pictures genuine directional movement achieved, I have a vid of this run which I will process later. I'm thinking more legs + power sources may = more speed.

Interesting. I tried a centipede only powered by pistons but instead of walking it took flight  :laughing

Attempt number 7:

Might have worked but I encountered pretty colossal havocking. Suspect horizontal servo motors may be too close together but not sure. Any thoughts?

It's probably due to the fact you have so many pistons.
Even though the bot is pretty much useless, it is cool as heck.
