It's still pretty cool even if it's a bit generic . Maybe try with the chassis as the engine and the components for the base? It's even harder, but maybe you can use more that way.

Even the batteries are in the 'chassis' below the bar. Unfortunately, as they're all 'attached to baseplate'...

Giving the LW Barber-ous style bot a shot again. I think it went pretty well.

Drive on astros, drum on piglet, chassis stays static and the back supports connect to that. you get the jist.

Yeah, I had contemplated other stuff but this thing needs teeth to look legit (beaters look wrong, too ra2) and everything else is too big.

This really was a throwback.

Not battle tested (or skinned) but it's basically the same as every other HW VS I've ever built so eh.

Looks pretty good, for about a 2 1/2-ish month old VS. It might go far assuming it doesn't get screwed over by the arena.

i bet it's unstable and it will spend it's time spikeballing all around

although i think throwback throwdown is in the bbeans2 arena or something open so spikeball mode isnt much of a problem.

It seems pretty stable in most cases, rights itself reasonably quickly if thrown over too. Super super wide so that's not a problem.
