Actually you are both right. The perms are for the drive and the drums (drums inner mount, wheels outer mount) I am trying to make a decent drum bot that can roll on top of another bot and grind its way down. But, I don't want the bot to be a crawler in the process... So far, the concept is not working out very well against some of the elite bots in the DSL pack. I might post some pics in my showcase if i get a moment.

Reier is right - Perms are intended as weapon motors only and fail as drive.

Whenever you knock off one of Patriot's plows it havoks, much like 3.14-ston. I wonder if any bot havoks if you have weight on a piston and fire it.

Patriot 2 (ripped off one of Arkaa's designs) was originally all VDMA's. Losing the pistons and weapons happened in 75% of the matches it fought because ALL VDMAs have 400 HP... and i thought changing the last VDMA to a Storm (8800 HP) would solve the issue... but visibly, NO !

A while ago Ouncey gave me a couple of bots to AI, and one of them is Bullet Ant 3. Of course, you know what happens after that! :P

PC4 pwns BA3 6-1 (and that was from a WBP in battle 5 since it lost all of its weapons from PC4 self-righting). But not to worry, BA3 beat PC3 4-3.

But yeah, better luck next time.

To be honest I'm not as angry at myself as I am at Pwn, but I just can't bring myself to be openly angry at someone else. I mean, that was possibly my best MW! I was sure that it could beat all Nar AI MWs, it finally beat Feeblemind, and it could even beat a few HWs as well as get under HNM a few times.

I haven't been able to build a decent version of it, let alone build anything with a decent wedge, in quite a while, but if even that doesn't have a decent wedge then I don't know how to improve it further. I might as well just get rid of it altogether.

I feel so worthless, but why, and what can I do?

Or stop whining and just go FFUU. Bots lose all the time, if everyone was like you are when a bot fails, There wouldn't be any NAR AI, Starcore AI, bots like Infs and Clicks, Bots that utilize every glitch possible, no BBEANS and no RAW. Hell, there would be no RA2 community.

Shut up about your misrable bots, and just ****ing improve them.
