It has a few spinning weapons, rather than lots, which wouldn't deal much damage at all IRL. Although IRL Building + Metal Hinge wedges = Poor show. Remove the Metal Hinges and Side Panels, and I reckon that'd allow you to get a skirt hinge with some stronger protection on the front, such as Titanium 40cm Panels. I might put a Hazard-esque spinning blade, or a tribar of some description with a few weapons on it, rather than the Frenzy hammer assembly you have at the moment, for added IRL-ness.

There is an IRL pack which has a bunch of custom components. The bots are kind of mediocre and the project fell apart due to lack of interest.

Doesn't look too bad. I might try having the disc further back, and a wheel at each corner. That'd probably help with the wedge a little bit, as well as with stability and turning circle. As I've said, though, IRL Building + Metal Hinge Wedges = Poor show. You could probably attempt a skirt hinge, I think that should work reasonably well for IRL building, but you don't see wedges like Metal Hinge ones on real bots for offense. Only for defense on the sides, such as Panic Attack. If it was on the front, it would dig into the ground, and screw up your mobility.

This? IRL? Hell no. Exposed motors on the top is a more typical thing from DLS Realistic.

And on that note. Steel 10 is overkill. downgrade armour and get better wedges (DSL bar with small wedge).

Hammer/Flipper Hybrid? Don't see too many of those. I'd try to get the hammers potisioned closer to the center of the machine, though, rather than out at the sides. I'd also swap the Mags for BSG's, to save on weight and batteries. I'd drop the armour to Tite 5 at the very most, and add some more batteries to supply the bursts, I think you need at least 14 for this design if you used four BSG's.

If it's a serious DSL bot, then they should be BSG's. If it's IRL, then the motors shouldn't be exposed like that, and GET RID OF THOSE METAL HINGE WEDGES. Seriously, they really do turn my nuts the wrong way.

Still needs more batteries and less armour, though.

In overall hammer/flippers just suck unless they are really good at clamping and are surrounded with stabilizers.

Anyways, why are metal hinges so hated in IRL ? Because the mass has decided so, or is there a reason for it ? They're pretty much realistic, and snapper wedges (which are probably better than metal hinges) are not frowned upon.

DSL and IRL are different building styles. Though the line is being blurred by some. IRL places aesthetics above efficiency, whereas with DSL, it's the other way around. Both are excellent, in my view, and both take different building aspects seriously. =D

And Metal Hinge - or sprung - wedges are only ever used in IRL for side defense. If you tried to use it on the front as an offensive strategy, it would simply dig into the ground, and severely hinder your mobility, probably folding under you sooner or later.

I like it, but I think you can get a lighter stabilizer at the back and then get alu or even ti extenders for the weapons.

I really like it. Reminds me of NFX's SWARM. Only needs 3 ants, though.
