Except if you lose one wheel the motor stops working even though you still have the other wheel.

Try Techno Destructo wheels instead of two Tornado wheels on each side. (correct me if I'm wrong) Tornado wheels weigh 18 kg and have 1.5 grip a piece, Techno Destructo wheels weigh 32 kg and have 3.2 grip. So if you switch you have a higher total grip (3.0 vs 3.2) for less weight (32 kg vs 36 kg) Also on top of that you only need a regular drive Etek instead of a LX drive Etek so that's even more weight saved.

(More grip = more speed)
I don't think that is how grip works, 2 wheels do not add to speed.  Also techno got 2.3 grip.  Tornado got 1.3.

I figured I goofed up atleast one number :P

In my experience robots with two wheels per axle seemed to move about twice as fast, so I made the assumption that two wheels = twice the speed

I don't know about your experience, but my test consistently shows them to be the same speed regardless.

Test is simple, 2 astroflight lx, 4 ants, 1 control board, 10x10 chassis, titanium 5 (weights about 400 kg)

Regardless of 2 vlad or 4 vlad wheels, it takes 6 seconds to go from reset point to test arena wall.

Grip is = the last wheel that is put on the a motor, which of the 2 axles does not matter.

After fighting with the new version of the bot I have found that the disc is almost useless when the bot is riding around upside down. The problem is the dual perm is higher off the ground then the wheels but if I change any of that the disc will not be as efficient of an undercutter. Anyone have any solutions to this?

Overkill wheels raised higher off of the ground. Should work and make it fully invertible.

Added the overkill wheels and redesigned to rear protection to fit.

It is quite funny how this bot started out and where it is now.

You don't need back protection, AI never attacks the back.

Yeah you can ditch rear defense unless you fight in rumbles a lot.

Also needs much more weapons. On a DSL HW HS you probably need like 200+ kg of weapons.

Use the 100 or 150 cm disk instead and put more weapons on.

Don't need back defense either

You don't need an extender to put the Dual Perm on.

Just follow these guys advice and you should be good.

If you are wanting to stick with the Dual Perm then i would add some more weapons (It's a HW so it should have more weapons anyway) but if you find you don't have the space downgrade to a Perm 132.

Use techno wheels, same grip for less weight IIRC.

Can't get the weapon motor to attach without the extender and the tecno wheels are not big enough for invertible driving

Surely that needs stabilizers?
And remember, one ant per spin motor!

Looking good :D

If you have weight left over you may need stabilisers, depending on how it drives. If you have plenty left, put some top armour on, or casters at the bottom (though both would be best). If you have loads left over, you could ever strengthen the disc and put rear armour on.

Yes but it would be best to have one more just in-case, so 4 should be enough.

I'd rather have more weaponry to score a KO faster TBH.
Still, that many is certainly a few too many.

Looking pretty good, though you can put the NPC's axles at the extreme rear of the chassis and save 3 kg by directly attaching the dual perm.

Now try something else, or become a HS specialist. Your choice.

I have been thinking about changing the wheels and I can't figure out how to mount the weapon without the extender. Also this just happened:

And I am messing around with a VS or Gut Ripper.
