DSL Bars are not very effective weapons. Replace the end ones with hammers.

You dont need the chassis to be as big as that, make it smaller and make it a rectangle instead of a rectangle with a triangle shape.

Shrink the chassis enough so that the wheels are sticking out the sides and all thats on the inside is the motors/batteries/control board

Use the small red/black extender instead of the baseplate anchor but INSIDE the chassis only. They are no good outside the chassis because they have low hit-points.

Get rid of the long ram-plates (White One's) and replace them with a plow or something else.

Also, as badnik said, instead of the DSL bars at the end of the other bars use hammers instead.

It looks alright.

Some people here build IRL (In Real Life) robots, which focus on imitating real life bots rather than maximizing based on this game's mechanics.  You should look into that.

Here is the updated version, it is now a middleweight fighter. Can someone point me to a page that has a tutorial for AIing my bot. I am a bad driver so it is hard to tell if it is the bot or me.

Unrealistic :P
Other than that it seems good, perhaps change the wheels to vlads?
You can shrink the chassis and put the cb upright somewhere.
DSL Showcase
is this bot don't lost all razors in a fight before do a damage thought

So here is the updated version. Back to HW, added two more drive motors to fix control issues, and changed the hammers to the 60 kg.

You don't need 4 wheel drive here, you're better off having 2 wheel drive with techno destructo wheels, and using the weight saved from that to improve the weapon motor.
You should also then put the weapon motor outside of the chassis.

If that were a real bot... the hammers would smash out the weapon motor. (I think.. it is a little hard to tell at that angle) Try to focus on keeping it realistic.  It is not because we are picky, but if you enter any DSL tournaments the host will reject bots because of things like that.

You are improving though. Good work!

I don't think you need the extra wheels.

They actually do make it go faster. Hit F12 to see the collision mesh of the hypno teeth. Then proceed to the weapons tab to find a larger weapon after you see it. (Protip: Collision mesh is what *actually* hits the other robot in-game)
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

Except if you lose one wheel the motor stops working even though you still have the other wheel.

Try Techno Destructo wheels instead of two Tornado wheels on each side. (correct me if I'm wrong) Tornado wheels weigh 18 kg and have 1.5 grip a piece, Techno Destructo wheels weigh 32 kg and have 3.2 grip. So if you switch you have a higher total grip (3.0 vs 3.2) for less weight (32 kg vs 36 kg) Also on top of that you only need a regular drive Etek instead of a LX drive Etek so that's even more weight saved.

(More grip = more speed)

If you're using wheels on Eteks, make them Technos

Also, that bot needs 4 ants, not 3 very-big-batteries-that-I-can't-remember-the-name-of.
I do those awful YouTube videos.

This advice will make it more generic, and I hate handing out generic advice, but..

NPC-Fs are generally better for HWs- they're half the weight and not much slower. E-teks are for bots which need/you want to be crazy fast.

You probably already know this, but as a rule, 1 ant battery per spin motor (e.g perms, astros, NPCs). 2/3 per BSG, 4/5 per small JX, 6/7 per large JX, and 20ish for Betas, I believe (but with betas the big black ones are better)

SKBT's gone through the techno thing already, but other good wheels are micro wheels, hypno wheels, overkill wheels and wheely big cheese wheels.

If you want to go overkill on the weapons, use a dual perm or a six-mag, though the six-mags are more awkward to attach. The best combination of weapons for an all round HS are generally Beater bars and light ds teeth/razors, but feel free to use different weapons, like sledges, or even things with normals to make for a refreshing change. Check out this page for information on normals (it needs to be finished really, with a list of weapons in DSL with normals.) :
https://gametechmods.com/RA2wiki/index.php?title=Normals

This is an example of a generic HS of the kind you're building nowadays. Try and clone that to get the general ideas in DSL, then then add your own original twist to the design :D

PS, Sorry if I've come across slightly patronising, I'm not used to giving advice :P

I heard, 1 per spin motor, 2 per BSG, 4 per Small JX and 5 per Large JX. I have 24 (1x4+4x5)

2.5 per BSG
4.5 per Mag
5 per Small JX
7 per Large JX
21 per Beta

My dear 123, don't you think PC625's do exist for a reason ?
So you can skip by them?

They aren't worth it on normal DSL.
^The 123 facts^
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

So this is what I came up with. So far the largest hit I gave out was over 6000.
