I've been through several people's showcase and saw some custom UI *cough*Jonzu*cough*. I myself is still using the default UI from Nar AI, but I am making one of my own. So show off your own UI here.

I went back to the standard DSL UI in NAR AI because I don't particulary like the NAR AI UI.

I would change my UI i but i don't know how, what i mean is what do i change for a different UI in the botlab background

1. Infogames\Robot_Arena-2 DSL-TC\Robot Arena 2\UI\common
2. find botlab_background
3. create a backup of the original
4. edit the original and save it as a BMP. file
5. hope RA2 likes it and doesn't do anything weird with it and enjoy

I thought of a good UI idea! How about one with loads of mesurements and lines on it, showing you
-the exact hght for a z tek
-exact height for motors bigger than normal
-lengh and width so you can your chassis precisely

And to make it look a bit more decorative, have sums written over it as well, like

- NPC =2TWM
- PIG =RAGE
- BETAG = WASTE
- POPUP = HARD
- STOCK = OLD
- G.K = FTW
- PIKA = OLDFAD

Tried that in the BBAI pack UI didn't work because of screen resolution differences (RA2 streaches the background to fit the screen size) and it uses the same BMP for all areas of the botlab so it doesn't look good. Trov has a bot height ruler download in his sig though.

I keep a list of the dimensions for all the stock components. I've also added a few unfinished guides for the sliders (the height ruler is the only one that I've finished/released). The rest of my UI isn't all that impressive (for the most part, its just an abstract background).

I have a pile of UI themes on my computer for stock and DSL

most of the DSL ones are incomplete and the sock ones were unpopular so I abandoned all work

I still sometimes use them for personal enjoyment

just a few...

+ there is more stock ones on my website

there was a thread somewhere which I think have the download link

ACAMS gave me a copy ages ago but crashed on the botlab.. but I did steal all the graphics from the UI folder for that theme :P

For the final version of NAR AI ( v3, release date December 2010) there will be a complete UI theme, maybe more than one if i find the time.

I still use my new NAR AI UI. Might change it cause t's not the best to select components in the list on the botlab.
