I am one of those people who don't build bots much.

Why? It feels like a chore sometimes.

try some stock antweights? i have posted a chassis for anyone to use and it's complete with batteries, control board and drive :P they take less time to build too which is why i focus on them because i can't play games for too long at a time so i can easily build an AW in a single sitting. all the robots in my sig use the same chassis :)

just uploaded that one too,thought the one with 3 batteries was on the botexchange :S so yeah 3 pinks in there and plastic armor (i still need to get around to making a DSA armored AW chassis).

That's why I tend to build in stock more. Yet the funny thing is, I've entered far more DSL tourneys than stock ones.

Totally agree. DSL has my heart now.

To be an efficient stock builder you have to know all that axle loading glitchy voodoo.

To be an efficient stock builder you have to know all that axle loading glitchy voodoo.

Yea, it provides more entertainment than just putting components in a chassis

I only build when I get a good idea. Like today, I thought of building a Pop-up with 64 RAZORZ, and I did it. =]

I don't build because I can't keep up with modern glitches for stock and I never fully understood DSL. Also +1 what Scrap said.

I find stock more enjoyable.. it just needs the tournament/ mods/ etc support to make building robots actually have a point.

When I first started playing DSL for the first time; it was fun. It wasn't regulated, and "all robots must meet the prerequisite of x to be worthy of judgment". DSL brought back the certain joy of simply building robots for the first time. But it seems that the "norm" for DSL is now: a super tight chassis, a few ant batteries, and "razor tips for high damage". DSL is becoming more and more like building in stock nowadays.

Am I the only one who has recognized this?
