Just a quick question, how to import all the bots into the latest RA and also how to do it for the Robot wars mod?

I remember on the DSL you had to download the bots and put them into the robot designs folder, but obviously you cant do that to the other ones because they don't have all of the robots of the 2.1 but more of course.

Hallo, welcome to GTM!

While you have rambled a bit, through the slightly odd english i figured out what you are saying: First, RA3 is not out yet and we have literally no clue if there will be backwards compatibility but it will most likely be a resounding no. Also, you have to realise that when you are porting robots from RA2 mod to mod, often the mod will not be compatible because the constituent components of the mod are not there. Even if it does, you still cannot mix mods together if you want an actually balanced game, or want to make the robots usable in tournaments.

However, if you wish to mix mods, I recommend getting a modder to explain how to do so, cause i can barely remember how to install skin packs. Also, if you do mix mods, remember which components are from which mod so you can create tournament legal bots.

Beyond all these draconian laws, make sure you have fun.

Sorry, I will make it a little easier. Some of the issues are now fixed.

Things I need to figure out though.

1. How to get all the bots onto the latest RA 2 version (the DSL one is a complete pack in the downloads section)
2. I cannot locate the bots for the latest version.

Define what you mean by "latest version" because technically that means the 1.4 patch to stock RA2 and mods are installed on top of that. Mods are not improved from other mods really, they're separate entities.

Are you asking how to install the RWRA2 mod? You just download a clean copy of RA2 1.4 from the download section of gtm and call the folder something like "Robot wars RA2" and install the mod on top of that. Do not install different RA2 mods on top of each other, install them on separate copies of the game in different folders. RA2 mods are meant to be played individually, installing them on top of each other overrides parts of some mods and makes the whole thing extremely unbalanced.

I know you've already got RWRA2 running as I run the tech support on the Facebook page, so all I can really add here is to not try putting DSL or Stock bots into the mod, the mod doesn't run cross compatible with other mods.

It just doesnt. Thats not how it works. IT didnt come with many bots originally, so that is why.

I mean, it's not supposed to. 1.4 is the stock unmodded version of the game. You make your own. It comes with a couple by the devs but they're pretty garbage tbh.
