Tribar Variations
« on: February 22, 2010, 06:50:39 PM »
I was wondering if it was possible for bibars, quadbars, etc. in the next DSL.
I basically mean tribars but with 2 arms, 4, 5, etc.
I know that there are situations where I could really use something like this.

DSL Discs and Bars are FLAT, which is bad if you need the weapon to scretch down at an angle to guard the motor. DSL discs are also vulnerable to things like VSs because the spinners catch the disc (unguarded by only the four spinning spikes) and get snapped off, damaged, or at the very least flip up the bot and unbalance it.

Logical yet sooo mind blowing that nobody has rarely seized and put the effort into a thread like this in this particular subject.

Perfectly possible but you need to make a GMF for this, and this is no easy task

Not only too brittle but at least 10 kg heavier than a standar tribar...

And stop whacking better builders than you.

at the risk of sounding like someones mum :P (inside joke craaig made last time I said this)

"Treat other members like you want to be treated"

sounds silly and juvenile, I know but if you dont like being insulted so much why do it to others?

honestly it takes less effort to write "Angled Spinner Sheck?"

SB, I think your idea good, mainly because of the noted 'off-set'.  Sometimes motors sit too high on the chassis base for the desired weapons to be effective(near the floor).

LRA2, you need to settle down, or I will 'artificially impose chaos' upon you.  Both you and Sparkbutt, need to stop your 'hard-guy' performances.  If you two refuse to control yourselves and persist, then a 'leash' will need to be put on the dog(s) (unfortunate, but necessary)...and it will be a heavy, short chain.

Input is appreciated. :)

Isn't chaining someone is imposing order/law rather than chaos upon him ?

anyway, I like the Idea, we also need more sizes than just the three, and I was thinking 4 armed bars would be cool, and I also think th Tris should be re-designed with being angled down.

The 4 Armed Bars were suggested at the first post in this topic, Thats the point of it.
