Meh, if we stop all the flame wars and be nicer to newbies it'll be around alot longer. GTM will probebly always be around, it might move to something else though, like COD or Halo.

Why do you assume GTM will always be around? AceUplink had a much bigger following, and that collapsed. The forum I've been administrating for the last five or so years has been around for nearly 10 years, and it's definitely on its way down. All forums come to an end; it's just a matter of when.

Personally, all the forums that i've been in have closed down or died eventually in 2-3 years. (Not implying that it is my fault :P)

But i hope GTMs will stay longer... and stay on topic.

Edit : @Duck: Yes it had a battlefield section. It was barely active though.

We should put together a progression log. At the end of each year, we put all of the notable bots of that year together, to be downloaded for nostalgia. We can put together ones for past years as well if possible.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

*Lets try to stay on the topic of RA2 and its future at GTM....

Having a collection of notable bots uploaded every year would be an interesting idea (best idea thus far, IMO). The only downside is picking which bots would have the "notable" status.

Iconic bots, meme starting bots, First time designs, bots utilizing new glitches, Tourny winners, ect.

That's all I can think of.

the hall of fame robots ? (as many of them that still exist)

cool idea.. as for the survival of this game.. its becasue of 2 things...

1) no better Robot Fighting game has ever been made.. no matter how outdated this gets its still the best until a company makes another
2) the mod-ability..

Increasing entropy is inevitable.  Therefore, why don't we be very careful to do 'maintenance' on present entropy, and not in any way facilitate 'accelerating' the downward process....
