I know we have a robot hall of fame but how about a hall of fame for members. Do you think it would be a good idea, every year we could induct 5 members in to the hall of fame.

I will start this idea if 10 people chose yes.

What I mean is 1 hall of fame for robots and another hall of fame for members. So two different hall of fames.

Without commenting on whether this is a good idea or not, there already arises an issue. If we elect 5 people every single year eventually everybody will be a member...

Sounds like another popularity contest to me, with the biggest effect being people bawwing about not being a part of it.

The number itself isn't the problem, it's the fact that regardless of what that number is, eventually everybody will be inducted even if it's one person every year.

(There was a post that this was responding to, but the author of it deleted it.

We kind of have it already in practical use on "Notable Members" page of the wiki. I'd agree with all of the listings there except various stock/DSL builders and tournament hosts.

What about doing it, one part for active people and another for inactive or dead people (see what I'm talking about), and temp banning ANYONE who starts BAWWWing (with warning people about it of course) ?

And this is a popularity contest anyways.

I don't think we should select a certain number of members for induction at a certain time in the year. I think we should be able to put anyone up for nomination at any time. If they have actually done a significant amount to keep either the forums or RA2 alive and developing in some way, then they could be considered.
