Posting Quility has taken a dirrastic downturn
« on: August 26, 2008, 11:06:47 PM »
I have noticed since I've been back that the overall posting quality has gone down, A LOT.

There has been a drastic increase in double posts, pointless bumps, thoughtless posts, even the trolling/flaming is bad quality.

Please guys, this is not an instant messenger. You have time to think out your posts and user proper English. Do so.

Sadly we lack the vets that used to keep order. ACAMS,Mad,Clickbeetle, and myself are becoming increasingly more busy with things outside of the RA2 world;so it is hard to keep  order.

I'm not sure if this thread will do anything, but it has been on my mind so I needed to say something.
sippin' on my Honeydew bubble tea.
party in my tummy. yummy, yummy.

Me and Pysc nominate ourselves for New World Order.

*okayokayalittlesarcastic* but alot of the stuff that I know me and pysc get on our haunches for is because of things that other people do that are just flat out dumb. not listening to peoples advice for their own good and talking about stuff that they have absolutely no knowledge about comes to mind.

Goose, could you IM me please on MSN?
Thanks.
Mad.
Input is appreciated. :)

I agree totally with goose... I especially thought that it was annoying for someone (not calling out anyone) to create an "I need help!" thread and then 30 minuites later, post that they fixed the problem themselves. Something has to be done.

i have time if you need someone to keep order. i know you're not really supposed to ask to become a moderator... but just putting it out there.
You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

We should have people nominate other people for a new moderator and vote 1 person in.

Revision: You ahouldn't be able to nominate your self.
This is not anything against you man manu, but I think that people should only nominate other people, so that way their won't be a ton of people that are nominated because they nominated themselves. I could see someone like Barbie or Sage being a moderator.
Obviously if this happens, it is up to them to decide the rules. I am just suggesting them.

Psycolone. I'd vote Inf but he'd probably ban me on his first day.
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

S32: This is NOT the thread to nominate people, this is a thread to discuss the bad post quality. It might not even happen. And, you are wrong about Inf, he would ban me too, and every newbie that comes to the site.

I keep very long grudges. It's just me.

I think we need Role models. Like Scrap Daddy or Clickbeetle.

Helping people become better builders is good, as Inf did when he sent me 2 popups, and now I can build them.
