New tournament feature in

I think that there should be a "Make your own Tourney" feature in a future RA2 mod. You could pick 16 bot from certain teams and set them up in a tournament-style fashion, just like in Team HQ, but you get to pick the bots you fight. It will be only in Exhibition, with a special icon in the UI, such as the one below. It is just a template, so don't criticize me for scratching out the real words with Paint. Vote if you agree with me if this is a good idea or not.

dont you have to edit the .exe file to do this wich i dont think that you can do

I don't think it's possible to do. You can make your own tourneys by editing the script, but you can't choose who fights who.

We cannot edit the .exe without the source code, which we do not have. You can edit the tournaments themselves, but not the draw. It is random, as coded in the .exe

Even without exe surgery, you could still do something cool with py or batch coding... Only inconvenience is you'd have to quit the game and restart to load revisions.

Well, could there at least be a Tournament feature in Exhibition? You don't get to pick the bots you fight, but it would pick a tournament randomly for you with random bots to fight against. You could pick which weight class, LW, MW, HW, or All Classes, to fight against, and it would pick it for you.

But in Exhibition, so you could pretty much train for Team HQ, and you wouldn't have to worry as much about losing.

I can see you point.. the only thing is such complexity for only a minor difference (not to mention another idea blocked by the exe).. you could face each AI robot in a 1 on 1 match as testing for your robot ?

Yeah... i don't see this as worth it since it will mean a lot of work for little results.
