New Glitch Found - Batteryless Spinner Glitch

Hey everybody. I was dicking around in RA2, and I found a new glitch. I don't really think it's helpful, but it might be, IDK. I don't know if it can be performed in DSL, but I'll try it later.

1. Go to the bot lab, and build a new bot.
2. Place an internal or external HP Z-tek on your robot.
3. Place a control board, but DO NOT place any batteries.
4. Go to the Wiring menu, and there, set two buttons. Make it so both buttons have it to spin the motor clockwise.
5. Place something on the motor, such as a disc, tribar, or other thing.
6. Go to the testing area, and hammer the two buttons to spin the motor clockwise rapidly and repeatedly.
7. You should notice the motor begin to spin on it's own, with no battery.

Does the motor have any force behind it? Like with weapons will it be as powerful & damaging as a powered HPZ?
And I take it if it works in the garage it works in the arena, right?

I actually found this a couple of days ago while I was trying to build a Full Body VS. I didn't really think it was worthwhile, though, because since you've got no power going to your motors, and therefore no force behind your weapons, your weapons are going to be stopped by literally anything.

tested it, and confirmed. it takes a little while to spin it up, but it works!

You'd still need batteries for drive, though. So you couldn't make this work unless you had servo drive, which would be a) heavy, and b) slow. Rendering the glitch a bit useless, if you ask me.

I was aware that you could get a little spin without batteries but getting it to go at full speed sounds interesting... BTW, you should't need to literally "hammer" the keys because unlike joysticks, they are either on or off (nothing inbetween).

I came back from testing this.

You can get a Dual Perm to spin at full speed in DSL using this trick. Don't use this trick for drive; it won't work, unless you have a bumble ball.

The motors have a little kick before they realize they don't have batteries. alternating between two buttons makes a ton of these kicks, which make the motor spin.

That's pretty cool. It's like creating a fast servo, since it still uses up battery power if you have one.
