Motor/Weight Ratio

After some long (And to be quite honest, boring) testing, I've managed to come out with these Motor/Weight Ratios. If any of them are incorrect, let me know and I'll alter them. Thanks.

Copal: Anything weighing more than 10kg and it won't spin at full speed
Astro: Anything weighing more than 32kg and it won't spin at full speed
Piglet: Anything weighing more than 42kg and it won't spin at full speed
Slimbody: Anything weighing more than 50kg and it won't spin at full speed
TWM3 and TWM3R: Anything weighing more than 80kg and it won't spin at full speed
Perm 80: Anything weighing more than 100kg and it won't spin at full speed
Z-Tek: Anything weighing more than 150kg and it won't spin at full speed
Perm 132: Anything weighing more than 160kg and it won't spin at full speed
TWM3R2: Anything weighing more than 175kg and it won't spin at full speed
TWM3R4: Anything weighing more than 300kg and it won't spin at full speed
6 Mag Gearbox: Anything weighing more than 400kg and it won't spin at full speed
Dual Perm: Anything weighing more than 600kg and it won't spin at full speed

Did you use the RPM monitoring AI to confirm these values or judge it with eye sight..

Nice idea though

Judged with eyesight, I have no idea there was an RPM monitoring AI.

Pretty sure "distance to motor's axle" also matters with "spinning mass", "motor torque" and "motor maxspeed" (maybe), A.K.A. you forgot one value.

Nice idea though.

Thanks, Nary. I might run these tests again at a later date, probably with that RPM monitoring AI that Joey provided.

Indeed... a 32kg object the size of a razor tip will be much harder to spin than a 32kg object the size of a 250cm disc.  It's a matter of leverage.


In which case, you would need to make sure you standardized the size of the spinning object for all of those weight tests.  That would give you a set of rough ratios you could use as general guidelines, adjusting for spinner size as necessary.
