I never had any trouble beating EMERGENCY... it was annoying and it dominated the match, but I never had any trouble winning.  Is that unusual?

my first robot was a VS so yeah while emergency through me around the whole match I got the WBP

I second Tornado.. so how it always managed to hit weak points on my nooby robots and take the whole weapon system out in one hit then kept self righting when I was trying to immobilize it

Aye, Tornado. Never really got troubled by emergency but I took forever to beat that.

Tornado was quite easy for me as I always used that spiked flipper (I feel sad now that I lost that bot actually).
However it took me a lot longer to beat it weapon to weapon and destroy it.

I remember beating Tornado a simular way, except I removed the hammers, turned it on its side, and then chucked it into the pit.

I beat it with a Stock preprocessor to Havok, called Havoc.

Being a Havok, I flipped it over.

Oh, and Tornado can sometimes annoy me, but thats only like near the end of a tournament-mode, when you have a [weapon X] that requires 402 time of your allowed 20 time in order to repair, and then Tornado is all like: "LOL UR WEPINZ FEL AWF"

Ehh, it happens.
It just means you didn't put enough weapons on your bot.

pretty much this... i remember downloading the demo and fighting emergency for the first time with walrus. i won the match off of points even though i spent most of the match getting my ass handed to me.

I was actually winning once with my first bot Atomic once (box bot with 4WD and 2 car steering motors, 4 mini wheels, 2 small wedges on the front connected to 2 axle w/e's, and a white paintjob with 4 red stars on each side and an atomic sign on the top), I used the octagon arena and I kept tricking EMERGENCY on the -raisers and I managed to get him under the pulverizers a few times...keep in mind I was still a n00b for this next part...it almost flipped me so I turned around and ran off and I ended up driving into a deathpit...

I defeated it for the first time with a replica of Firestorm I DL'ed from the old bot exchange in the RA2T2 arena by flipping it OOTA (and it almost fell back in the arena). That was atleast 2 or 3 weeks after I got the game.

I remember beating EMERGENCY with a sit-and-spinner I made up.  basically, it was a big box with four HP Z-Teks inside, and four sledgehammers on the corners.  It was made invertible, so even if I got flipped over, I could still spin.  Tore up the sides and front end of EMERGENCY a lot, got flipped around a lot, but mine was the last bot rolling at the end of the match ....

it basically havoked to self-right.
