Which one do you prefer, and why?

Personally, Stock is fun, but a really good bot takes forever to build, you need to put 9 irons/maces on a spinner to make it effective, the motors are too weak and it's unrealistic.

DSL is good because you can use a battleaxe on a spinner with decent results (like System32 wants), you have good motors, moar weapons, plenty of wheels to choose from, skirts...

But the main thing i has against DSL is that the original DSL 2.0 AI is getting repetitive. Not enough bots to fight. In Stock, we have pleenty of good AI bots in SC3 (or SC4) and the PYS AI pack.

We need some DSL AI packs.

I'd make one, but I have no idea.

BBEANS AI will come soon, and if enough of us get together, we could make a DSL Starcore pack.

I'll make a BW DSL AI pack, plus several antweights, something like 4-5 teams personally.

Or, an AI pack that follows the six bots rule, like Starcore.

If we ever turn starcore into DSL, let me do Castle Guard, please?

I dont see why you should blame DSL for not having AI packs. But you are right, the AI is getting a bit too easy. It would be cool for an AI pack to be made.

DSL is better than Stock, the stock version is pretty boring now to me. Stock lacks content and its just a pain to read charts to figure out how many batteries I need to make a bot work. Also, bots are too fragile in stock.

I play only DSL, but i progress slowly.

however, as i use to frequently aI my bots, i've got my own AI of 16 teams each with 3 or more bots. Most of my bots are 'low level' and easier to kill than the originals AI ones.

Most of them are also able, when aied, to kill at least on of the original AI bots of the same category.

I like them both, maybe Dsl a little more. I don't know how good it is going to be on my part, but Dragonfire has agreed to help me Ai some bots to make a Ai pack. (Thanks a mil, man!) I'm not an incredible bot builder, but it might be fun to have a new pack. =)

maybe aye... but you cant call it starcore if starcore doesnt make it. personally i used to hate DSL but now i've been playing it for a while i kinda like it. lots more possibilities to create different bots. in stcok how many components do people actually use?

black batts
red batts (sometimes)
shiny hubs
iron spikes
razors
maces
HP ZTECS
tribar
control board (obviously)
black extender.
t extender (sometimes)

and that's really about it. i'm sure the list wouild be about the same length or more if it was unused components. now for DSL the list of used components would be HUGE!

By the way if we rebuild all Starcore 3 in DSL, should we follow the realistic rule? This will change everything.

If we were to, I already have a Clockwork Hydra, and we could do it like Inf's summer magic. Everyone will make DSL replicas of the Starcore Bots.

Or, I had another idea. Do a GTMs DSL AI Pack, kinda like SC3 or the Pys AI pack. Everybody that wants to contribute sends a team (and even more if there's not enough teams).

That woudl be perfect. Would we make new teams or, for example, I would remake all of the bots from Mythbots or something.

-Either we rebuild all the Starcore 3 robots. Non realistic rule (that wouldn't be Starcore then)

-Either we make a brand new DSL AI pack and each builder than wants to contribute sends one personal team (possibly more than one).

I'm not great, but I've been practicing & getting better. I'm getting fairly good.
