I've also got a question. Are you actually doing some of our suggestions or was that just for fun?

I am waiting on good suggestions for parts....
  Cars and/or parts
  Tanks and/or parts
  Artillery and/or special weapons
Someone wanted a skull, but I am still working on getting the poly count down.

Isn't there already a skull? I believe it was Dummy's Grim Reaper Skull "Unhooded." Right?

Well I know FB isn't going to update the Battlebox anytime soon... those screw hazards are too complicated to make with grape crates (his arena building blocks).  Plus he's already working on another, bigger arena project... something that's never been done before, going to be very cool and very fun... you'll just have to wait to see it.  If the Battlebox is going to get updated it would be goose or ACAMS that did it and I don't know if they're planning to.

The Ocean Platform was made by FB btw.  Not me.  He does all the arenas and I do all the replicas and parts.

Oops. Sorry.

@FB-Great job, FB. ;)

Time for another sneak peek!  We're back to the new stock AI bots this week, but next week will be something else again (probably a new real robot replica).

This is Team Dragon's new lightweight, Ninja Assassin, packing an impressive E-Tek motor for weapon power!  One of the most powerful vertical spinners, if not the most powerful, in the pack, but it is also one of the most fragile bots.  Once again the ninja stars are balanced with the rest of the weapons in DSL and will be available as cheatbot2 parts.

Nope. Darkrat hasn't visited this forum for a month, I think his last visit was before the forum went down (edit: I was talking to Goose and he told me that Darkrat did leave), and Starcore has been gone for a long time.

The DSL development team is now Goose, ACAMS, Clickbeetle, and me. There are also the beta testers.

Well Darkrat and Starcore are still technically part of the team; it's not like they were kicked off or anything.  But they probably won't be contributing much anymore.  Darkrat did make a few things for DSL 2.0 a while back though.  They'll be included if they ever get uploaded to the site...

So 1 main member's dead, and the other 2 buggered off. Do you think it's time for a name change?

DarkRat is still the Man in charge with the final say.
I am sure he is just on a much needed break.

So? Darkrat and Starcore didn't say they were going on a vacation. They just abandonned us. That's what it seems to me.

For this weeks's peek, I give you... as you might have expected... Bulldog Breed!  He's a middleweight in DSL and a very resilient flipper.

This is the version of the real bot this replica was based off of.

Today's sneek peek is Samurai, the improved Bushido. It's sort of like a popup, but it's  realistic. It also works as a chopper bot.

frenZy fans rejoice: in DSL 2.0, that short little 90 degree hammer has been extended to twice its previous length (approximately the length of the real hammer) and swings back and forth through a 180 degree arc!

Before anyone gets their hopes up: No, that's not a burst motor.  180 deg burst motors are still impossible, unfortunately.  The hammer is swung by a limited spin motor like the hammer motor in FB's component pack.

Animation of the updated frenZy swinging the hammer.  You can see how it could be a threat to spinners.

No frenZy fans?  I'm surprised.

Here's a very stylish HW bot you'll get to fight in DSL 2.0, complete with spiked wheel guards and decorative flags.  Shogun, the upgraded Ronin from Team Dragon, now has four katanas in its wedge for a weapon.  It leaves about 100 kgs of weight unused, but it's still one of the toughest contenders in the pack due to the popup wedge type design (although Shogun is a much more realistic design than the stock RA2 popups).

Nifty, and frankly more accurate anyhow.  I have not used the FB pack so I don't know anything about a limited spin motor. How much damage does it actually cause?  Will we be seeing this used in other hammer bots (Overkill, Judge, Killer/Terror/Beta Hurtz, Diesector, etc.) ?
