Carbon Fiber Armor/Extenders
« on: June 27, 2013, 01:33:37 AM »
Hello and good evening to you.

Antweights are tough to build because of the weight constraints. Carbon Fiber (CF) Armor and proper extenders should help.

Carbon Fiber armor is as light as a feather and just as resilient.

CF 1: 2 mass, 100 health
CF 3: 6 mass, 325 health
CF 5: 10 mass, 540 health
CF 10: 22 mass, 1440 health.

As for carbon fiber extenders, just make them like normal extenders: round and six attachment points.

...You know, just a thought...

There is no point to use cf 2 because
1) titanium 1 is more efficient
2) there is steel 1 with the same weight.

Didn't think you could have more than 4 armour types due to RA2 mechanics.
Better than GK since 2009.

^ You can, it's only the armour textures that are limited to 4. Either you use no texture, or copy one that's already been used.

Yeah that's what I meant, so Carbon Fibre armour would look terrible. All we need is a sufficient range of armours from weakest feasible to strongest feasible and plenty in between.

not needed, light sheets are already fine

also CF armor ? next we're gonna get "no armor" with 0 weight and 0 armor and we'll see aberrations such as a 0kg chassis.

The next step surely needs to be either Paper or Bubble Wrap.

Well, to be serious, we do need new armour types, like Polycarbonate and Kevlar for example.

we have already polycarbonate, it's plastic durr

although yes there are some gaps in the armor choice that need to be filled. Mostly between 1mm plastic and 3mm plastic as well as between 3mm titanium and 5mm titanium, but others as well.

a minimum armor (none, paper, bubblewrap) option sounds cool, but it would probably result in unbelievable amounts of havok.

but maybe there could be 2mm, 4mm, and 6-9mm armors in nar ai though? i mean its just txt edits.
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

The simple solution is just lower the weight past plastic 1, and adjust the HP accordingly.

I mean, the 10 armors (besides plastic) are useless at their current weight anyway.  It's not so much the thickness gap as it is the weight gap that needs to be fixed.
