Hey All.
I mainly opened this thread if you want to discuss about Antweights and Beetleweights.

Yes, you can post pictures of your AW & BW here.
Guess i might aswell start the ball rolling, here are some of my AW & BW:

This is one of my AW, Erupt.
Its powered by 2 stacked Ant Batteries, 2 Astroflight motors and its weapon is a flipper.
And this is one of my BW:

This is Ramcake.
He has the same battery setup as Erupt, he is 4 wheel driven, it was 2, but when i turned the robot Havoc Exploded, so it was changed to 4.
Both are armoured in 1mm Plastic.
Well, what do you think?
Can someone give me any tips or hints to making killer ants and beetles?

Both have a lot of empty space that can be reduced and both require a damaging weapon.

Wham can't make a decent BW/AW after gathering some of the basic tricks for DSL building.

Anyways this is one of my favs

Very powerful for a BW, but unstable. 1mm plastic or titanium, i don't remember.

Yeah, my ants could do with a bit more weaponry.
My robot making seems to be very simple designs, just 2 wheels or 4, box, weapon, maybe some armour, and it works fine for me.
I might have some better ants and beetles.
What do you mean, decent, those bots are decent, Ramcake can push any beetle around the arena, and Erupt was made to flip and leave them.
Whats your say on a good AW/BW?

Ramcake has NO WEAPON. Simple as that. Both of them are underpowered. And have much empty space.

Juts look at the four Arthrobotics beetles - Robokillase is decent, Peer Pressure is nice too (and this is a weaponed flipper), True Love is great and Microwhirl pwns major.

Building a good AW/BW... well, is just like building another weight class, excepted that in ants/beetles you must be moar careful about empty space if you want a really good bot.

Also, what kind of drive motor are you using, and can you find all the AW/BW parts you need in the stock DSL pack?

Sonny: yeah. Everything is in DSL. Basically, the lighter/smaller components are for AWs/BWs. There is an ant batt, ant/beetle motors (Piglet, Copal, Astroflight), and small weapons.

And I bet S32 comes from 4chan.
