So I was bored and was looking thru the beetlebros site. I reread the Component Stats page and apparently Pointy Tips and 30cm Pole Spikes are the most effecient weapons.
 Why? Same stats as razors, but 1kg heavier. Also TWICE THE HP. On bots like rammers, where normals aren't important, this could be critical for weapon life.
Also, they're better than Irons in that department too. Same HP, more DP for 2kg less. The best rammer weapons are pointy tips, plain and simple.

Also, Ice Picks (single-sided) have the same stats as irons for 1kg less. And because the attachment points on ice picks allow you to mount them sideways, you can use them for spinners. Less weapon weight equals more weight for defense. :D Maces are still technically better, but if you want offense and defense, ice picks are the way to go.

Tomorrow I will prove this. As I am posting from my DSI, I have no RA2 access and these are only (well-calculated) theories.

Yeah. Single side Ice picks are 8kg.

yes, but the way the picks AP is set up it allows the point to hit the opponent's chassis. (I think a bot in Inf AI uses this setup actually)

Pretty much. You'll see that a mace rammer pwns a 36HS much easier than an ice-pick rammer.

Your making it sound like you discovered / did all the work for what you are saying.. yet its been on the Beetlebros site longer then you have played RA2..

Hardly a Major discovery at this point in time..

Loads of people know they have a higher Efficiency value but normals do suck.. it would surprise you the difference normals make even in front on situations..

Besides everyone knows Maces are the coolest (take that razor fanboys)

That thought had crossed my mind, about the Pointy Tip stuff, but the normals are a huge setback for them, so they really don't do as well as you'd expect. Also, in my view, Maces > Razors > Irons.

Anyway, I was thinking about making a 36HS with single sided ice picks, do the normals on them cover the whole of the axe part?
