Back in my day, I didn't have any of your fancy wooden structures, or lego constructions. I used VHS tapes!

I once made a lego robot with so many different weapons it was unbelievable. It had two different flippers, a couple of spinning weapons, an axe, a grabber weapon (basically a few flexible rubber lego tubes put together in unison), a ramming plate and so much more.

Not like that, I mean the weapons could be changed.

They're too big for my taste. I used to build robots that fit inside 8x8. Also, I recommend not to build bots that have so multiple colours. Yellow, Black, Gray, Purple, Green and white don't look good together.

TOO MANY COLORS GODDAMNIT D:

Srsly, it looks messy. I'd rather use just black and white for example on it.

Searching for some of these parts was a pain. I am not going to bother searching for colours. Also, i dont really like small bots. Bigger ones make more possibilities. :)

I build these for fighting capability, not looks. Anyway, not everybody has 10,000 pieces of lego, sorted into colours Mr Jonzu!

As luck would have it, I found a bunch of my old lego bots the other day:

I built these for mostly looks really, but I did like them to work like a real robot would. I didn't like how lots of the lego flipper bots I saw on the internet didn't have a flipper with a proper hinge bit, so all of mine had proper semi-working flippers. If I find any more maybe I'll show them too.

You can still build them into fighting capability. Imagination is the key.

I made mine to fight in the Robot Wars Minibot arena. I'll see if I can remake them tomorrow.
