What are the glowing cannon beams on #1 and the gun on #4 made of?

My guess, small drums like pwn said and cheatbot flamethrowers

thanks to all who voted and big shout out to 123 on this one.

He is the master craftsman behind this awesome creation, so I wasn't lying when I said I didnt build anything..

He also made the cool glowing small drums, then I pretty much skinned everything else and made the splash.

Awesome job buddy hope you didn't take that kiss thing to seriously :P

PS. all my guesses for who built what were all off too :P I thought Noodle for number 3 and Clickbeetle for number 4 (seemed like his kind of thing to make something historic.. I dont know why)

Congratulations, Joe. =D There's no stopping you, is there?

I'd just like to explain that I made my entry in NAR AI 2.3, in which the Flamethrowing Spike is in the weapons list as normal. I didn't think I'd win anyway when I saw the rest of the entries, certainly not with #1. Well done to the rest of the entries as well, Noodle and J24. It was a surprisingly low turnout, I thought. Hopefully next month'll see more entries, what with it being Christmas and all.

dont worry there is still plenty of love for you Nary.  :heart_smiley:

Congratulations, Joe. =D There's no stopping you, is there?

Its really more 123's victory then mine, I was in it for the fun and also the Starcraft :P

I have had my 2 years on top but I think its going to start to change, people are getting to used to my style so its harder and harder to keep fresh, also other members are catching up no doubt too (your developing as quite a good BOTM builder / threat yourself NFX)

So, is that a custom made part not usually in DSL?

Congratulations to 123savethewhales & JoeBlo with #1 SEIGE TANK

It's siege tank, not seige tank

That would be taking the DSL Small Drum

changing the BMP to a green colour

and messing about with a some of the skin settings in the GMF to make it have a glowing effect (I admit, I dont know how to do it myself but 123 manages to make cool skins with shines, reflections, transparency and all that other stuff)

Reskinned components aren't really custom components, in my view. Not as long as they've got the same values of HP, DP, grip, torque, electotal, etc. as the normal ones. The skirt hinge burst motor that's going around, that's custom, because you've actually had to edit the .txt file, whereas a reskin job you could, theoretically, just change the map. Even though it doesn't quite work like that.

Bollocks, I was winning for a short time too.

On the other hand, I did a lot better than I should have.  That entry was a last minute attempt that I more or less threw together in a few minutes.  Good job Joe with the win.

I will win one of these!

No worries, your Mark 1 "Landship" was definitely the next best thing, and got my vote for sure. Did you know that the first of those tanks were originally built in my hometown?   :approve:
