I was playing airsoft with a few friends in the snow last winter. I had my hood up over my head so no peripheral vision, and I was chasing someone. He ran out into the road and I went to follow. I thought at the last second that I should check for cars, and decided not too. I tripped over the snowbank at the edge of the road, and fell right in front of a car that stopped probably about 3-5 feet away. It would have gone straight across my back (right across my shoulderblades). I shudder at the thought of what I would be like if I had gotten run over.
