Thread quality is going down a bit these days
« on: February 22, 2010, 02:40:30 AM »
About worthless and UNFUNNY spam, people creating threads to BAWWW in the Chatterbox, or people fighting pointlessly over trivial matters ? And threads like this ?

Ah, the irony.

Its just a n00b influx overall.
LDL, LLB, S98, Stag, and Avalanche are some of the culprits in my mind.

LDL is improving though, and I havent really seen LLB much lately, so I guess that he is better, and Stags been better too. SPARKEY ITS ALL UR FAULT.

I caught Somebody editing that post.

It's all Sparkey's fault? You missed Avalanche on the last line. I think.
Wait, LLB is on

The silver lining to all of this is that when all of these new users become elite builders, it will produce some very competitive tournaments.

Everybody is new once...

HOWEVER! Many of you vets or advanced users are just as much to blame! You all go off topic, you all create topics here to whine, you all put "I want this person banned" in your signatures, and you all flame each other for no apparent reason! You complain about wanting LRA2 or Sparkey banned, but half the time I'm two posts away from suspending your accounts as well. Learn from your own posts, guys. It's not just the noobs.

For once the mods did something right

Oh btw its supposed to sno 2moro and I wonder why Nary never has a avatar and I WANT SPARKEY BANNED!!!!

I have officially reached my noobiness quota for the rest of my life.

[/endnoob]

But yea I think that we all need to step it up a little. The n00bs more than others on occasions, but still all of us have done what k343 mentioned.

The general quality of the forum itself, not just the chatterbox has gone down.

I creatd the General Chatter thread for pretty much any of the topic that arn't needed, like small rants and minor issues. I understand I could be blamed as much as the newbies for fueling spam here, but I think a good idea is a chatterbox moderator. one who moves all of the off topic spam of little value into a large junk threadb and deletes the bubbling arguements. I'd like to say the forum should at least be at PG-13 and 15 occasionally.
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

I wish we could just make a section of the forum called "the Playground".  Instead of banning members that act like 4 year olds, mods could just limit their account so that they can only post in the "Playground"... They can fight amongst themselves there and not spam up the board all over the place.  When a captive of the playground can prove they are capable of being mature and rational... they are allowed back onto the rest of the forums.
