To be fair, England's keeper always makes one massive balls-up during the World Cup.

It's kind of like the "World Cup-Star Player-Massive Injury" curse I see each year  :(

Yep. And various teams using some decidedly underhanded tactics.

i guess i want the ivory coast to win, mostly because they're bright orange. however, so long as the good old u.s. of a destroys the dreams of a bunch of countries that actually care about soccer i'm pretty happy

Personally, I can't stand pro soccer (or football for everybody that cares). There's so much diving and faking injuries it's pathetic. As amazing athletes as they are, soccer (or football) players are just as big wimps. I just can't sit down to watch a sport that not only has a place in the game for diving, but actually encourages it for drawing penalties.

It's a shame too, because soccer (or football) is such a great sport at the minor/grassroots level and so much fun to play.

Go South Korea.

True. You got pwned by Mexico. But Scotland failed to qualify, so it's more or less level.

Incidentally, Scotland have qualified for the World Cup finals 8 times, which isn't actually that bad. But we have also been knocked out in the first round of the World Cup 8 times. Which is a 100% record we'd perhaps prefer not to have.
