Though I'm guessing that supporting Team GB would make me a facist according to you?

SOTG, your cousin is in the olympics?
Yep. Johnathan Akinyemi, the Canoeist and only Olympian in Team Nigeria
Ah, so that explains the Team Nigeria pictures   8D
I'm so proud of him for getting as far as he did. He did excellent, considering he's hardly ever done whitewater before, and this is his first Olympics

If he doesn't do whitewater normally, what does he usually do then?
Flatwater. he doesn't train in rapids

Seriously? The course at Lee Valley is pretty tricky as wildwater slalom courses go (I should know :L) so good on him if he only usually trains flatwater.
Only really following the slalom in the Olympics, because it's, well, my thing XD I just don't do it competitively these days.
(Avid readers may notice my use of Wildwater instead of Whitewater - interesting fact, we're not meant to say whitewater as apparently it makes it seem like only white people can do it. Oh political correctness <3)

Sure did - only like 10seconds behind Draper, who they were going on about being a real veteran.

As the coverage said, the medals at the London Olympics appear to be like London buses - you wait ages for 1, then 2 come round at once.
