That's true, Britain did invent that. And the steam engine.
Steam engines have been around for around 2000 years. A Brit did come up with a commercially feasible one, though.

And the telephone. And the lightbulb. And television. And the computer.
That depends on who you believe was the true inventor. All three of these items are hotly debated. I think we can all rest assured knowing that Edison wasn't the true inventor of anything, though.

It is true about the steam engine, which was invented in Greece by Hero. And the others should probably be left to be debated by historians. Also, we shouldn't be talking about that sort of thing in this thread. For the next country, could we try to:

- Post one stereotype at a time.
- Wait for a stereotype to be finished with before posting the next one.
- No prejudice - just stereotypes.

@Frezal: I kind-of meant that there should be no harsh remarks or insults - just things that are linked with that country.

@G.K.: You know I do! :P

Anywho, for the last hour you may see the results.

Haggis is the one most people go for. I don't eat it myself, but it's not everyone's favourite thing to eat. I'd go for Irn Bru for a Scottish food/drink thing.
