Just to clear this up, there are many, many styles to YTP. Some some may enjoy over others. Examples are ear rape, YTPMV, Spadinner ("I HOPE SHE MADE LOTSA S-...DINNER" kind of thing)

It depends on what is being said, how funny it is, sound quality, what else it is mixed with, and whether you have been strapped to a chair and forced to listen to it for half an hour (i.e. if your mind degrades a certain amount from listening to it, it will become funny)... see also; the maturity of the listener.

Fart jokes are generally based on the age (and mental age) of the recipient of the joke. I know of a 31 year old man that still finds them amusing, and makes them at most opportunities, and I know of a 13 year old that doesn't find them amusing at all. as for the overused meme thing, depends on the intelligence of the joke made/state of mind. From what I can tell.
