I am trying to make some new friends mainly for my last year of school in 4 years. I want to be able to talk to people but I don`t want to embarrass the person im talking to. Im thinking of Facebook to start of with but what if the person gets pissed of at me?

Just say random sh**. Who the hell cares if it pisses off or embarrass other people?

Rule of thumb, NEVER help anyone if doing so makes you appear weak. Help people only after they know you reserve the right to stop helping at any time. This is absolutely essential to prevent people from taking you as a chump, and being a chump will make you NO friends.

Stop caring, is my advice. I stopped caring about five or six years ago, and I'm doing more or less alright. =)

The trouble is that if you're actually trying to become "popular", so to speak, you will soon find out that the people who are in those circles are incredibly, incredibly shallow. You could be the best friend anyone could ask for, but if you don't have the latest X-Factor iPod Wi-Fi Handheld trainers, you're going to get kicked out without a second's notice. At least that's my impression of them.

Wait until high school and find new people. If you still haven't made friends with the people you've wanted to be friends with for an entire four years, chances are they've judged you pretty harshly and will just feel uncomfortable talking to you...
