We have it as one of main sports and do it once a week at school.

i have like the 4th hardest throw outta my year?
Sadly i can't catch so i am out quite easily as everyone else is a good catcher

ahhh the good ol days when we used play dodgeball. I pitched in baseball and would pick out the nerds totally destroying them. Then a couple of years later it got banned and we had to play a similar game called prisoner ball with like squishy balls that you could hardly throw hard. Sad days after that

I hit one of the jocks in the head on friday, when we were playing dodgeball. He said to fight afterschool on monday. Now people know why I was wearing steel-toed boots today.

Dude, I was totally one of the nerds that always got destroyed. Then I got to grade 10, grew about 6 inches and put on about 90 pounds (no joke, I was so thin in elementary school that teachers thought I was malnourished) and became one of the bigger guys with a pretty good arm. Dodgeball also got "officially" banned at my school, but we still convinced our gym teachers to let us play it with those pink playground balls.

By the way, those were the greatest balls ever (*waits for this to appear in the out of context thread and the obligatory "that's what she said"*). You could chuck them so hard and it would never hurt if they hit you, lest it be in the balls.

We use squishy volleyballs (wtf) which I can't throw.
But I'm a 1st baseman so I can catch
But I can't catch dodgeballs so I suck ;_;
I use strategy and dodging sklz (pretty quick for 5'9" 225lbs)

No offence, but I have yet to meet someone around 5'9'' and 225 lbs that can be considered "pretty quick." I'm 5'10'' 195lbs and I tend to lumber :O

I'm 6' 145 lbs and the best on our team since I can dodge up a storm and throw moderately good :P I always die catching though.

And what's up with the wimpy nerf balls they use now? WE USE KICKBALLS HECK YEAH.

5'9 185 and I was pretty good at dodgeball back in my day, though my arm was relatively weak. I throw a football much better than a round ball...

I liked when we played dodgeball at school. It's a fun sport. We call it "ballon prisonnier" (prisoner ball) here in France.

Wasn't really good at throwing (though I dodged alright), but I enjoyed it.

Heck yeah, dodgeball is awesome! But we rarely get to play it. But, on the very few occasions that we do, we use these Gator-Skin balls that look like this:

Throwing isn't my strong suit, but I'm great at dodging and catching. But I absolutely hate it when I'm the only one left on my team, and everybody is yelling, "HURRY UP AND CATCH A BALL" when the other team isn't throwing any.
