Actaully, I remeber reading somewere that it actually meant happy.

Gaytimes are meant to be read as happy times....

What I don't understand is why people think calling somebody or something gay (as in homosexual) is an insult. It seems rather silly to me.

gay has actually became somewhat of an excepted insult which as others stated make very little (if any) sense

its original meaning I believe was happy, hell we have an IceCream down here called Gaytime
