Look my main point is that I don't go around trying to say sh** like "Track isn't a sport because anyone can run." So I would like the same respect for my sports.
OK I'll stop. I just generally (if you ****ing bring up Gene Rally :P) like physical sports more.
RA2 is considered a competition, which is in the books as a sport, so yes.

I will go run strait into a ****ing bus now.

That's not very healthy man

Running= exercise

Death = Waste Of Exercise

I would die doing what I love.

But why would you die doing what you love? Wouldn't you rather die doing something you hate? I mean if you love it, why would you wanna die while you're doing it?

OK, I'd rather-Nvm, I'm very superstitious   :rage

Ah it's quite alright, I'm just deep sometimes. My apologies.

Anyway, back on topic. Any other sports anyone plays?

Oh god, I could go on all day about this could who lives next to me. He is sure he's going to go pro in every sport he's ever played (baseball, soccer, Basketball) but has his heart set on basket ball. The idiot goes out like every day at 12:00 and practices shooting for seven hours. Once, I was so bored I cdid the math too his average, and he came out 9 out of 25 shots  :laughing

Yeah. My school neighborhood city is full of Morons just like that. The only kid I know who has some talent is this kid who I'm actually good friends with

He's the one in the lead, and ended up the second fastest kid in the nation in 06 and EVERYONE want to be like him. They'll tell him to his face they're faster, but when he challenges them to a race, they're "tired."

That's fast. I don't run, screw that. I leave that up to the people who do it best. Not my bottle of gatorade.

I don't even really consider it a competitive sport. It's just running, but it's fun :P

Actually, they are considered a sport.
Yeah, and ****tards consider homeopathy a legitimate form of medicine. Just because many people believe the same thing, that doesn't mean they're correct.

Why does tractor pulling have to be a sport in order to be a legitimate activity? Why must you label yourself as an athlete in order to obtain a sense of self worth?

In high school, I received varsity letters for pep band, Knowledge Bowl, and math team. I laughed at all of it. Sure, those activities were hard, but they're not sports. I'm in no way an athlete, and I don't need to be labelled as one in order to feel good about participating in things I enjoy.
Destroy your lives, on purpose!

They are not. Debate leagues certainly can help train your eloquency skillz (well as long as it doesn't becomes a shouting contest). Geography bee trains memory and knowledge.

They are just means not ends, of course, but they are useful tools for training your skills.

Frezal you're correct. However it does differ dependent on person to person, it's just the general acceptation by most people that it is considered a sport in it's own right. Some people might consider you an athlete for those activities, some might, it really depends on who you talk to. Everyone is different.

It's a sport somewhere...all I'm saying is the world is different, everyone has their own way of thinking. But, the topic of discussion was changed to *Physical* Sports, therefore this argument shouldn't have taken place anyway. We all just accept the standards of each other. What you may consider a sport, I may not, what I may consider a sport, you may not. We leave it at that.

Hmm... physical sports, eh?

Umm... sprinting (silver medal in men's relay), basketball (although this path was hindered due to the fact I wear thick glasses), softball (school field's bumpy so this was pointless as well), badminton (had a fun time back then), ping pong (too much power >.<).

I would've included robotics as well, since THE PARTS WERE SO FREAKING HEAVY AND WE HAD NO HEAVY-DUTY TOOLS (sprained my arm once when I tried to carry the control board system). x_x
Clash Cubes 1 - Grey Matter (Runner-Up)
King of Karnage - Sideshow Freak (Runner-Up, Best Engineered)
Rust In Pieces - Paper Cut 3 (Grand Champion, Most Dangerous Bot)
Wheely Tag Tournament - Ion Thruster (Grand Champion, along with Ounces' DiSemboweLment)
UK vs USA - Dark Striker (Grand Champion)
Rust In Pieces 2 - Claymore (Runner-Up, Favourite Bot)
BBEANS 6 - Infection 4 (Runner-Up)
RA2 Team Championships - Serious Business, Skeksis (Runner-Up, along with Scrappy, S_M, and Badnik)
RA2 Team Championships 2 - The Other Stig (Runner-Up, along with Scrappy, S_M, Badnik, 090901, and R1885)
Replica Wars 3 - Abaddon (Runner-Up, Luckiest Bot)
BroBots - wheebot & yaybot (Runner-Up)
Robo Zone 2 - Dipper (4th place, Survival Champion, & Best Axle Bot)
ARBBC - The Covenant (3rd place, BW Rumble Winner, Most Feared BW)
